Moving on
By Amir Zoghi
We all sometimes feel stuck in our lives. Where everything that used to work no longer does, where the weight of the world may seem to be upon our shoulders and where the inspiration to make a move just does not seem to exist. I have personally been in that space many times in my life and I came to realise that what didn’t work was to deny what I was feeling and deny the circumstances that were influencing what I felt.
What I came to learn in my life is that every time I was experiencing a negative emotion created by my life circumstances or by someone in my life is that it came to serve me in some way. I know this doesn’t seem so at the time you are experiencing something negative, however think about this… How many times have you had a negative experience or received a negative outcome in life, to only come to the realisation some day later, that if it weren’t for that same negative experience or outcome you would not have been the person you are today? You would not have been having the positive experience that you are having because of that negative experience you once had. We all have experienced that in our lives, and if you haven’t, look harder.
The Truth of it is we are here as a spiritual beings to have a human experience. As a spiritual being we are whole, we are perfect and we are love. As a human however, we are separate, we are incomplete and we are fearful. Fearful from not being enough, not doing enough and not having enough. The Truth of it is that we are enough when we are complete and to be complete we must embrace all that we are. That is all that is negative and positive.
In society it is only encouraged to only have positive experiences, this is what is described as success. If you are having negative experiences then you are deemed as a failure. The Truth of the matter is by embracing and experiencing both sides of the spectrum enables you to be here as complete as you could ever be. It’s the Ying and the Yang in life.
You came here as a spiritual being to forget your wholeness so you may take the journey to remember it again. Your wholeness was split into two different experiences, negative and positive and in order for you to become whole again and to regain the power of all that you are, you must accept, embrace and release all the emotions that you may be resisting. What you resist will ultimately persist so to release your emotions you must completely be open and vulnerable to them, you must embrace your emotions with acceptance.
Next time you are in a circumstantial bind, experiencing a negative emotion, understand that you have an opportunity to become more whole and powerful with your spirit, with the soul of who you are and embrace all that is happening around you. On the other hand you could also choose to be closed off and resit the negative emotion, which will then result in the emotion persisting in different areas of your life and growing in your body. You will attract different or the same circumstances to press on that emotion that you are holding onto so you continue to experience it until you are ready to accept it with an open mind. You are here to wake up which is what you shall do when you embrace all that you are.
As you embrace both sides of who you are you will free yourself to choose your experiences with free will. Life will become a fun park that you will ride, not one that you are only lining up for. You will feel alive and experience an appreciation for all that is.
If you’re experiencing something you perceive to be negative, if you are experiencing emotional pain from it, its time to move on. It’s time you embrace your emotions internally so you may release your circumstances externally.
