Thinking Intuition?
By Amir Zoghi
What is your intuition and do we all have intuition?
Your intuition is a deep feeling described as an inner knowing that we all (yes all) are feeling at all (yes all) times. That’s right, your intuition is speaking to you right now, it has always been there and will always be there. You may just not be hearing it; you may just not be listening….
An intuitive feeling or thought is one that comes from your core being in the moment. The only reason that you may not be feeling it is from the result of one thing and that is the constant thinking that you are doing. You know, the everyday thinking that you do, the one that talks to you all day every day about all the things that you have to do and all the bills that you need to pay. The one that makes all the noise in your head about the future or the past and the one that constantly is comparing you to something or someone outside of you to determine if you’re worthy or not. I call this your logical thinking and it takes place in your left hemisphere of your brain. For as long as you live only with your logical thinking then you are limiting the use of your creative and intuitive thoughts that take place in the right hemisphere of your brain.
To experience your life as a whole you must allow yourself to experience what you have available to you from your left and right hemisphere of your brain. Not using both hemispheres of your brain will result in you experiencing your life as part. Most people are only experiencing part of who they are and are only there for part of life. If you are determining your life only with your logical thinking then you are missing out on expressing your creative and intuitive voice, which does not communicate in logic. Your logical thinking needs measurable and factual details to determine its reality and therefore it disregards the intuitive feeling as this is neither measurable nor tangible.
So you see, your intuitive thoughts have always been part of you and it is part of you right now in this very moment. Most people however are simply not hearing it or feeling it because they are not living in the present moment where the intuition lives. Most people are determining their reality only through their five human senses, being their sight, smell, touch, hearing and taste. They are missing out on the use of their ‘sixth sense’ (intuition) which is the intangible, non measurable and non factual part of them. How many times have you felt what it is that you would love to be, do or have and you felt it with passion and certainty?? To then find yourself a moment or moments later thinking about it logically and actually talk yourself out of what you love? This is common because passion or certainty are not tangible or measurable and therefore people allow their logical thinking to talk them out of what they feel to what can be logically.
When your dominating thoughts are those that arise from the left hemisphere then you are always in the future or the past where fear and logic resides but when you are in the present you allow your intuition to be heard and experienced. Stop thinking of the future or the past to allow yourself to experience this present moment and you will allow your inner intuitive voice to be your dominating voice. That’s also described as being authentic.
